Philodendron hederaceum variegated is a species of Philodendron with a lower stature and heart-shaped leaves with a glossy texture, which has undergone a spectacular genetic mutation resulting in a splash-type variegation pattern. It can be grown on a support or allowed to drape. Aesthetically, it is considered perfect for enhancing the look of a room, due to its multiple foliage and natural growth vibe. Philodendron hederaceum also has the following characteristics:

• Philodendron hederaceum is one of the most common indoor plants, naturally resistant to pests and requiring minimal care needs. Its variegated version is as resilient as the botanical species.
• It prefers temperatures between 15 and 30 °C. Make sure the temperature does not drop below 14 °C, even in winter. Humidity between 45% and 70% is optimal for healthy growth, but the humidity in a normal household is also ideal. Therefore, a place that receives plenty of natural light is ideal for placing the plant. Alternatively, you can supplement humidity at any time with a humidifier.
• Philodendron hederaceum variegated requires full but indirect light. It also thrives in a place with moderate light.
• The best time for transplanting is spring or summer. However, with a high growth rate, we recommend changing the substrate every 12-16 months. Being a prolific plant, you can put your gardening skills to use and propagate it by cuttings to have a richer plant or give new plants to friends.

It has a very good growth rate under optimal conditions, namely full indirect light (east-facing windows are the best option), 60% - 70% humidity, and a substrate that is watered when the top two cm have dried out.

Attention! To check the soil moisture level, the finger inserted into the pot at a depth of 2 cm is the best tool for measuring soil moisture.

So, if you feel the soil is wet, keep the sprayer away from it for one or two days, and if you feel it is dry, water it.

Attention 2! When watering, consider the pot in which the plant is planted, as well as the amount of substrate and its aeration level. That is, do not pour a liter of water into a pot with a diameter and height of 12 cm, as you will drown the plant's roots. It is best to throw away the excess water from the collecting vessel half an hour after watering.
