Fertilizers: Both Philodendron hederaceum var. oxycardium Brasil and Epipremnum aureum are very easy to care for, with no significant fertilization needs. However, for their good development, we recommend using a bio fertilizer (we use the BioBizz brand for the plants we cultivate) from the beginning of March to the end of November.

Air humidity: These cultivars are perfectly adapted to indoor conditions, thriving even in low humidity, down to 40%. However, note that the aerial roots will not develop, and as a result, the plants will not grow vertically like any epiphytic plant, but will rather have a "trailing plant" growth habit.

Temperature: 18-29 degrees Celsius

Philodendron hederaceum Brasil is a common cultivar, a very easy plant to grow and maintain, making it a perfect candidate for a new plant parent.

Perfectly adapted to indoor environments, both Epipremnum aureum Neon and Epipremnum aureum are always an excellent choice due to their unique foliage, characterized by the lemon green-yellow color of the 'Neon' cultivar.

One of the remarkable qualities of these species is their high degree of adaptability, being able to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels, making them a suitable choice for various indoor environments. Additionally, they are known for their air-purifying abilities, helping to improve the air quality in indoor spaces by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene.

Ideal growing conditions involve air humidity of 60-70%, but they also perform admirably in a low humidity environment, even as low as 35-40%.

Note! To check the moisture level of the substrate, inserting your finger into the pot to a depth of 2 cm is the best tool for measuring soil moisture. If the substrate feels wet, keep the watering can away for one or two days, and if it feels dry, water it.

Note 2! When we talk about watering, we must consider the pot in which the plant is placed, as well as the amount of substrate and its aeration level. For example, do not pour a liter of water into a pot with a diameter and height of 12 cm, as this will drown the plant's roots. It is best to discard the excess water from the collector tray half an hour after watering.

The plant can be mounted on a support pole wrapped in coconut fiber, in which case the aerial roots will attach to this support, resulting in a plant with a more vigorous stem and increasingly larger leaves. Alternatively, if you prefer the aesthetic of trailing plants, you can let it grow without support, and as the vines lengthen, you can clip them to the walls with special clips.
