Dracaena surculosa
Species: Dracaena surculosa
Plant Genus: Dracaena
Plant Family: Asparagaceae
Native Plant Origin: Benin, Cameroon, Central African Repu, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Gulf of Guinea Is., Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo
Soil Drainage: Moist and well-draining; we recommend a substrate mix composed of coco coir, perlite, vermiculite, sphagnum moss, and pumice.
Soil pH: Acidic
Fertilizers: Dracaena surculosa is a plant with modest fertilizer needs. However, for optimal plant growth, we recommend using a bio-type fertilizer (we use the BioBizz brand for the plants we cultivate) from early March until late November.
Air Humidity: It is a plant well-adapted to indoor spaces, thriving in air humidity starting from 40%.
Temperature: 18-29 degrees Celsius
Light: Bright indirect light
Plant Height including Pot: 10-15cm
Pot Diameter: 8cm
Attention! To check the moisture level of the substrate, inserting a finger into the pot to a depth of 2 cm is the best way to measure soil moisture. Therefore, if the substrate feels wet, refrain from watering for a day or two, and if it feels dry, water it.
Attention 2! When watering, consider the size of the pot where the plant is planted, the amount of substrate, and its aeration. In other words, do not pour a liter of water into a pot with a diameter and height of 12 cm, as this can drown the plant's roots. It's best to discard any excess water from the collector tray half an hour after watering.
