Ceropegia linearis subsp. woodii 'Variegata'
Plant species: Ceropegia woodii
Plant genus: Ceropegia
Plant family: Apocynaceae
Native plant: The native range of this species is from Zimbabwe to South Africa. It is a tuberous climbing geophyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.
Soil drainage: Ceropegia is part of the succulent family, so it appreciates a suitable substrate for cacti, as well as periods of drought between waterings. Allow 2/3 of the soil to dry out before watering again, preferably from the bottom.
Fertilizers: Fertilize monthly during the growing period.
Air humidity: Prefers a drier environment, so it is an ideal plant for the bedroom or living room.
Temperature: Above 15 degrees Celsius; the plant should be kept away from drafts.
Light: Plenty of indirect, bright light.
Plant height with pot included: 10-15cm
Pot diameter: 6cm
Ceropegia woodii is a delicate, trailing houseplant with slender vines and heart-shaped leaves in shades of light green and cream, with contrasting pink undersides.
As it matures, it develops small caudexes at the roots and under the leaves, making propagation very easy (the caudexes are planted directly in the substrate).
Good luck with the care! And don't forget to give us updates about your plant, using the hashtag #greenmirrors and tagging @green.mirrors in your Instagram posts! We promise to share them in our stories :)
