Anthurium magnificum hybrid
Plant species: Anthurium magnificum hybrid
Plant genus: Anthurium
Plant family: Araceae
Plant origin: Central and South America.
Hybrid produced by Green Mirrors from seeds resulting from the pollination of flowers from two different plants.
Soil drainage: well-drained, we recommend a substrate mix composed of coco coir, perlite, vermiculite, sphagnum moss, pumice
Soil pH: acidic
Fertilizers: Anthurium is a species that requires moderate fertilization, so we recommend using a bio fertilizer (we use the BioBizz brand for the plants we cultivate) from early March to late November.
Air humidity: happiest at 70% - 75%, but it also thrives admirably in an environment with a lower humidity level, up to 45%-50%. Hybrids are known to be much more resistant to low humidity compared to Anthurium species.
Temperature: 18-30 degrees Celsius
Light: full indirect sunlight
Height of plants including pot: 15-20cm
Pot diameter: 9cm
Attention! To check the moisture level of the substrate, inserting your finger into the pot to a depth of 2 cm is the best way to measure soil moisture.
So, if you feel the substrate is wet, keep the watering can away from it for one or two days, and if it feels dry, water it.
Attention 2! When watering, consider the pot in which the plant is planted, as well as the quantity of substrate and its aeration level. That is, do not pour a liter of water into a pot with a diameter and height of 12 cm, as you will drown the plant's roots. It is best to remove the excess water from the collection tray half an hour after watering.
Good luck with caring for it! And don't forget to give us updates about your plant, using the hashtag #greenmirrors and tag @green.mirrors in your Instagram posts! We promise to share them in stories.
